🔥🐅 ROTHSAY TIGERS TRACK & FIELD IS HEADED TO SECTIONS! 🐅🔥

What an incredible performance by our Tigers at Subsections! FOUR athletes are advancing to the Section Meet on Thursday, May 28 at Concordia College in Moorhead! 💪🏃‍♂️🥇

⭐ Karson Jensen soared to a 3rd place finish out of 20 competitors in Long Jump with an impressive leap of 19’ 10.75”!

⭐ Loken Brandt continues to rewrite the record books! Loken broke his own school record in Shot Put for the SECOND week in a row with a huge throw of 42’, earning 6th place out of 29 competitors! 💥

⭐ Wyatt Irish battled his way to a strong 9th place finish out of 29 in Shot Put with a throw of 39’ 11”!

⭐ James Stockinger crushed it in Discus, placing 7th out of 32 competitors with a throw of 115’ 02”!

👏 We are incredibly proud of these athletes for showcasing their dedication, resilience, and Tiger spirit throughout the season. Best of luck as they compete for a chance to earn their place at State! 💙💛

Mrs. Ness has had enough teaching for the year so the 5th graders are taking over. They had to create a lesson to teach to the class. A lot of great skills and information was "taught" to their peers. Lessons included: drawing cats, crocheting, making dirty sodas, creating hair buns, making slime, how to trap beavers, and lots of information on pugs, freshwater fish, pulsars, and dinosaurs.

🎉 Just a reminder that Friday, May 22 is an Early Dismissal Day at Rothsay Public School!

🕐 Students will be dismissed at 1:00 PM as we wrap up the 2025-2026 school year.

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for a wonderful year full of learning, activities, and memories. We hope everyone has a fun, safe, and relaxing summer! ☀️🐾💙💛

Last Friday the 5th/6th grade classes took their trip to the Twin Cities. The first stop was at the State Capital. They continued on to the MN Science Museum and ended up at Fort Snelling. There were so many great things to see and learn about. The bus ride on a coach bus was a first for many as well. Overall, they had a great time.

The Rothsay Tigers battled through the wind on Thursday, May 14th at the ABW Booster Invitational in Ada against 20 other teams — and still came away with some huge performances and personal bests!

🔥 James Stockinger crushed a new PR in Discus with a throw of 96’ 9”!

⚡ Cory Opsahl sprinted to a PR in the 200M Dash!

Loken Brandt placed 3rd in Shot Put AND broke the Rothsay School Record with an incredible throw of 41’ 5.25”! 💪

The previous record of 41’ 1.5” was set by Miles Mudderman on May 25, 2017. Congratulations, Loken, on an amazing accomplishment! 👏

Proud of the grit, determination, and hard work shown by all of our athletes while competing against a strong field of teams in less-than-ideal conditions!

Today's Baseball game vs NCE-UH in Ulen will be postponed to Wednesday at 1:30pm due to weather. This will be a single varsity game only, no C Team.

Today's 6A Softball Playoff Game in Brandon vs Brandon-Evansville will be moved to Wednesday 5-20-26 at 3:00pm. This is due to wet field conditions. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for students.
